So today I was perusing through the latest news in the wild world of tea and came across a few stories that seemed rather tragic. Tuesday Tea Tragedies just kind of popped into my head (I think todays Tuesday…), and maybe I’ll make this a weekly thing. That is if I can continue to find horrible incidents related to tea.

This Tuesday I’ve got three Tea Tragedies for you.
- So apparently this British bloke thought that by poisoning his wife’s tea with mercury their relationship would be rekindled as he nurses her back to health. Sweet. Insane, but sweet.
- This article is about a kid who OD’ed on “morphine tea”. Apparently tea is the new oxycotton.
- This third story is really gonna make me start thinking twice before drinking tea brewed by anyone but myself. 4 people were served a pesticide infused brew at the Assam Tea Garden in Tinsukia. Tea gardens are supposed to be peaceful places people!
I’m not saying don’t drink tea from someone else, just maybe be a little more cautious before sipping it down.

I guess this site really is for men. These tea tragedies are a far cry from some of the sites with women showing off their tea party dresses.
@Jason Witt: Not a bad idea though. Maybe we should do that for the next podcast??
