Lemongrass

Lemon Grass

When I first purchased Lemongrass, I initially wanted something that I could use to blend with my Coldbuster tea. But after a couple cups, I realized that the lemongrass proved to be a refreshingly sharp cup of tea on it’s own.

Lemongrass is found in nature as part of the lemongrass plant (Cymbopogon citratus) which is native to Southeast Asia. The health benefits are countless ranging from an antidepressant to mood enhancer and is even good for your digestive system.

I find the taste of the lemongrass tea to be very distinct and enjoyable-every so often. It’s certainly not a tea I would want to have by itself every afternoon simply because it’s too sharp and distinct. I usually have a more smooth variety of teas like a black green, or rooibos.  Lemongrass can also be blended with other flavors to give it a bit of a kick.  I enjoy the mint lemongrass combo every once in a while and maybe even some rooibos lemongrass if i’m feeling crazy.  So try some lemongrass out and let us know what you think!
