Peppermint is without a doubt one of my very favorite herbal infusions. Peppermint Tisane has a refreshing and incredible taste sensation that is completely caffeine free. The health benefits of Peppermint cannot be overstated. Peppermint Tisane is great for almost anything that ails you. Peppermint has antiseptic, antiparasitic, and antiviral properties. Peppermint is known to aid in the relief of headaches, bad breath, gallstones, heartburn, nausea, general pain, insomnia and because peppermint contains menthol it is considered an effective expectorant and decongestant.
Peppermint also blends very well with other mints, chamomile, rooibos and many other herbal infusions.
To make the perfect cup of peppermint boil the water to 212 degrees and steep 1 gram a cup for at least eight minutes. Steep longer for a bolder cup. A good peppermint tea shouldn’t be earthy or muddy but should have a zingy taste that dances on the tongue.

I love fresh peppermint! Fresh from the plant is definitely the way to go.
I definetly agree with you on that one, Pete. Look out for a future post on fresh plant teas vs. dried teas.
Good info, I’ll have to try some peppermint tea! I haven’t ordered any as of late, but I am adding it to the list. I’ll have to review it on my site sometime as well
